By using Fixly or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Repair advice is general guidance

FroggyDIY's estimates, how-to links, reminders and answers from Froggy (our AI helper) are general information, not professional advice. Some of it is written by AI and can be wrong. Costs and times are rough estimates, not quotes. You decide whether to do a repair yourself and you're responsible for doing it safely.

FroggyDIY is not a substitute for a licensed professional. Gas, electrical and roofing work, and anything that needs a permit, can cause serious injury, fire or damage. Hire a licensed pro for this work. If you smell gas, leave the building and call your gas company or 911 from outside. Before any electrical work, turn off the breaker and test that the power is off.

Your account

• Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• You must be at least 13 to use FroggyDIY, and 18 to buy FroggyDIY Pro.
• Only upload photos and text you have the right to share. Don't upload photos of other people without their permission.
• You keep ownership of what you upload. You let FroggyDIY use it only to run the service for you.

Things you can't do

• Break the law or use FroggyDIY to harm anyone.
• Try to break into, overload or scrape the site, or get around usage limits.
• Use Froggy or the AI analysis to create harmful content.

Free plan and FroggyDIY Pro

• The free plan includes a set number of AI photo analyses each month (shown on the FroggyDIY Pro page). After that, FroggyDIY uses keyword matching until the next month starts.
• FroggyDIY Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription paid through Stripe: $8 a month, or $60 a year. The price is shown before you pay. It includes unlimited AI photo analyses.
• You can try FroggyDIY Pro free for 3 days, once per account, with a confirmed email and no card required. When the trial ends you go back to the free plan automatically and nothing is charged.
• It renews automatically each month or year, depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel. You can switch plans or cancel anytime from the FroggyDIY Pro page (Manage subscription), and Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your account cancels it right away. We don't give refunds for partial months or years unless the law requires it.
• Pro includes a fair-use limit on AI chat messages so one person can't run up a large bill.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

Store and contractor links

Some links to stores are affiliate links, and some contractor links go to referral partners. We may earn money when you buy something or request a quote. We don't sell those products or provide those services, and we aren't responsible for them. Your dealings with stores and contractors are between you and them.

No warranty, limited liability

FroggyDIY is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, FroggyDIY isn't liable for injury, property damage or losses from using the site or following its advice, or for the products and services of stores, contractors or other third parties. If we are liable, it's limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can delete your account anytime from Account → Personal data. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for big changes we'll tell signed-in users on the site. If you keep using Fixly after a change, you accept the new terms.
